Kennedy Center Internships Curriculum: Additionally, interns participate in an educationally-based professional development curriculum specifically designed to help them prepare for interviews and networking, as well as succeed in their entry-level positions. The following are components of the Kennedy Center Internships curriculum:

KC Class: Interns participate in KC Classes throughout the term, consistently taught by a team of senior leaders. The syllabus  includes readings, group work, case study analysis and presentations. KC Classes are intended to mirror an academic setting in a professional environment, and challenge the interns to develop  critical thinking and problem solving skills, while building their professional confidence and knowledge of the field.

Tours and Events: We love to share all that DC has to offer with our Interns. As a class, interns go on several museum visits, tour the White House, and much more!

Professional Development Workshops: Professional Development Workshops are offered on a variety of topics, including personal branding, networking skills, public speaking, and resume and cover letter writing.

Look-Ins: Kennedy Center Interns attend informational seminars hosted by Kennedy Center staff at all levels of the institution. Seminars are interactive, one-hour sessions that familiarize interns with the many departments and divisions of the Kennedy Center, and demonstrate the breadth and depth of the programming, educational offerings, and other content offered by the Kennedy Center.
